SV Adendorf vs Ahrweiler BC II 0:8 (0:3)
++8-0 VICTORY FOR THE A II IN A FRIENDLY MATCH AGAINST SV ADENDORF++
The A II juniors achieved a high victory in their preparation test match. Coach Joe Yankey's team won 8-0 (3-0) on Saturday evening against SV Adendorf, who have ten points after six games in the Kreisklasse.
The team struggled significantly against the youngsters from the pottery town for almost the entire first half. It wasn't until Leon Trabert (41') and Emir Kalafat (43') with their goals for a 3-0 halftime lead, Trabert had already scored the 1-0 (26'), that the team from the twin city got on the winning track.
In the second half, the team led by captain Jan Lingen pressed on and increased their lead to 8-0 through ball security, clear decisions, and a focused attack towards the opponent's goal. Stephan Gies, who, like Ermal Shala, Felix Güttes, and Benjamin Ibrahimovic, was helping out the A II team as a B-junior, scored three goals after halftime. Matthias Monreal and Luca Galdino were also successful.
This coming Saturday, the Yankey team will be the first ABC team to start the 2020 league season. At 3:30 PM, the team will face the U20 of JSG Spessart in a rescheduled game of the seventh matchday of the Kreisklasse.
