++SOLIDARITY IN THE ABC FAMILY++

In these currently very difficult times, in which the Corona crisis is determining life in all its facets, there is a great deal of solidarity within the ranks of Ahrweiler BC. The players of the first team, coaches, referees, and numerous individuals from the support teams are partially or completely waiving their reimbursement of expenses. "This step shows that there is great unity within the ABC family. On behalf of the entire club, I would like to express my sincere thanks for this," said ABC President Torsten Schweigert.

Against the backdrop of the Corona pandemic and the indefinite suspension of all sporting activities, Ahrweiler BC is also forced to re-evaluate its economic situation. In addition to lost revenue from canceled home games—only one home game has been played at the Apollinaris Stadium since December 1st—sponsors are also affected by the Corona crisis and cannot plan either in the short or long term. "In this extraordinary time, the entire ABC family must come together and stand even closer," says athletic coach Rainer Stein.

"Even though the health of all fellow human beings and the fight against the Corona virus are currently in the foreground, there will be a time after the Corona crisis. This requires us, as the board, to work very meticulously so that the club continues to stand on solid ground. However, we also need the solidarity of the club members and the supporters of our club for this," says Schweigert.
