Chest out for "Bunter Kreis Rheinland"!

ABC is committed to the good cause

When the D-juniors of Ahrweiler BC compete in the Bezirksliga league in the future, their jerseys will bear the inscription "Bunter Kreis Rheinland" on the chest. This followed a unanimous decision by the board to forgo jersey advertising for a youth team in favor of advertising for a non-profit organization.

Ahrweiler BC decided to work with the organization "Bunter Kreis Rheinland," which focuses on comprehensive aftercare for families whose children are born prematurely, chronically ill, or disabled.

The focus of their work is the follow-up care from hospital treatment to outpatient care, which is carried out by many volunteers and professional staff. "Our work is based on a holistic concept that also includes the needs of parents and siblings," explains Yvonne Lange (Press/Public Relations). The follow-up care concept of "Bunter Kreis" has been proving itself for 17 years. The "Bunter Kreis Rheinland," a member of the relevant federal association, has seven locations from Cologne to Koblenz. Over the course of a year, around 600 families from Koblenz to Leverkusen are cared for by around 62 employees, including pediatric nurses, social workers, and psychologists.

"We are delighted that we can support such an organization with so many great people and want to draw public attention to the exemplary and important work of 'Bunter Kreis Rheinland' through our commitment. There are things that are more important than winning or losing," says ABC President Torsten Schweigert.
