It was wet, windy, and cold, but at the end of the first test match of the winter preparation, the Ahrweiler BC's B II juniors weren't left out in the cold. Coach Christopher Exner's team won 3-5 (2-3) against SG Heimersheim. "A victory without brilliance, with some good attacking moves," Exner said after the match, but also pointed out the generally excessive carelessness in defense. The goals were scored by Dean Travljazin (2), Ferdi Nikolayczik, Jamal El-Toufaili, and Patrick Sebastian.
This coming Saturday, the team will compete against JSG Adenau in Wanderath.
