The new U9 team of Ahrweiler BC had their first game of the new season on Friday. The junior kickers met SG Westum in a friendly match on the central pitch in Bad Neuenahr. In summer temperatures, both the visiting players and our talented young footballers from the district capital clearly enjoyed playing with the round ball. The result and the way it was achieved made everyone proud.
Sarah Preußner, one of the U9 coaches, was thrilled with her team's performance: "Wow, the boys really did well today. True ball artists!" It was an impressive debut for the team, which has undergone great development under the guidance of Sarah and Dennis Preußner, as well as Victoria Einert and Jeffrey Yankey.
