U10 Kickers Dominate Opening Match: 7-2 Victory Against SGL Heimersheim II
Our youngest E-juniors from Ahrweiler BC had a dream start to the season! Under the leadership of Darijo Matosevic and Lukas Gronwald, they celebrated an impressive 7-2 victory against the reserves of SGL Heimersheim in their first league match.
From the start, our young ABC players showed focused and determined play. Heimersheim never really got into the game and quickly fell behind 0-2, thanks to goals from Henri Stege and Noah Willmann. The first half clearly belonged to our team, which also scored through Nelson Busch and Moritz Winnen twice before the break.
Due to the summer temperatures, both teams' strength waned in the second half. Nevertheless, ABC managed to defend their lead and score more goals. Noah Willmann and David Matosevic scored again to seal the victory. Heimersheim also found the back of the net twice.
Coach Dario Matosevic was thrilled with his boys' performance: "Especially before halftime, we played many situations really well. I'm proud of my team's performance."
With this convincing victory under their belts, our players can now focus on preparing for next weekend’s home game against SG Westum III. Here’s to a great season, guys!
