++U15 WINS CLEARLY 4:0 AFTER STRONG 2ND HALF++

Cristofalo with a flawless hat-trick against JSG Neitersen

After a low-scoring first half, the Ahrweiler BC U15 team sent a clear message on the 8th matchday of the Rheinlandliga, defeating JSG Neitersen 4-0 (0-0). The player of the match was undoubtedly Gulio Cristofalo (photo), who scored an impressive hat-trick.

In a first half without many highlights, it was the visitors from JSG Neitersen who were the more active team until halftime. In the 7th minute, they had their best offensive action with a shot that hit the post. However, after the break, the game became significantly livelier, especially thanks to the strong performance of the team led by head coach Oliver Johann-Ewy.

In the 40th minute, Henry Feist gave his team a 1-0 lead with a header from a corner kick by David Lorca. Lorca himself also initiated the second goal, playing a perfect through ball to Gulio Cristofalo, who skillfully converted. Cristofalo was unlucky with a shot that hit the woodwork, and Luca Esper was narrowly denied by the opposing goalkeeper. Nevertheless, the ABC youth team was rewarded again in the 69th minute when Cristofalo completed the scoring at 3-0 with a deflected shot from 15 meters. The upgrade from a brace to a hat-trick followed in the third minute of stoppage time, when Cristofalo added another goal from close range to make it 4-0.

Although the victory was deserved, the result was perhaps a bit too high overall. Nevertheless, the team from the Ahr Valley enters the relegation round with a solid cushion of points - unfortunately, participation in the championship round of the Rheinlandliga is no longer possible.

On the final matchday of the preliminary round, Saturday, October 28th, the Ahrweiler BC U15 will face the last-placed team with no points, Sportfreunde Eisbachtal II.

The team can look forward to the relegation round with confidence and face the upcoming challenges.
