The U11 II juniors of Ahrweiler BC have found their way back to success after an initial false start in the spring season of the Kreisklasse. After two opening defeats, the team led by head coach Andre Wenigmann secured two convincing victories. On Tuesday evening, they shattered JSG Bad Breisig II with an impressive 7:3 win, having previously beaten JSG Remagen II 8:2.
Wenigmann was enthusiastic about the implementation of the training content from recent weeks. "We applied pressure at all times and moved the ball well through our own ranks," he said. This strategy paid off as the team brought home the victory with strong offensive play and solid defense.
With now a total of 6 points in the bank, the team has placed fourth in the standings, and the team seems to be carrying the momentum from its recent victories.
Yorik Welsch was particularly accurate, increasing his goal tally to a total of nine goals with a quartet of goals. Liam Wenigmann, Eni Misini, and Paul Jünger also contributed to the impressive victory with their goals.
The next matchday on Friday, April 5th, promises another exciting challenge when the team hosts SG Westum II on the artificial turf of the Mittelplatz in Bad Neuenahr.
