U15 Advances to Championship Round – U14 Remains Deep in the Relegation Zone

After the final whistle, there was great jubilation among the U15 team (photo). The team coached by Johann Oliver-Ewy and Timo Schäfer secured their spot in the championship round with a 2-0 (1-0) home victory against SSV Heimbach-Weis on the final matchday of the preliminary round of the Rheinlandliga. In a dominant performance against their direct competitors, Simon Gros (11') and Albert Schmitz (65') scored to achieve a deserved success.

The U14s' 10-0 (4-0) victory in the district league against FC Plaidt II was a meaningless game. The Plaidt team, who are not counted in the league standings after a league decision, significantly contributed to the ABC juniors' landslide victory with three own goals. The other goals were scored by Joel Pullera, Noah Richter, Endri Gashi, Louis Frey, Jonas Printzen, Florian Krätschmann, and Ilay Gaga.

The recent negative trend continued for the U14 team against league leaders Sportfreunde Eisbachtal. After a 0-4 defeat and now four consecutive losses without scoring, Julian Hilberath's team is currently in second-to-last place in the D-Juniors Rheinlandliga.

In a match that was as happy as it was possibly important, the U12 juniors fought for a point in their home game on the 9th matchday of the district league. Against JSG Mosel-Hunsrück, the current fourth-placed team, Tom Hildebrandt scored in the final minute to make it a 1-1 draw. Previously, the guests dominated the game, had numerous goalscoring opportunities, and hit the post shortly before the equalizing goal. However, the young ABCers believed in their chance until the very end and equalized after excellent build-up play from Yassin El Toufaili, keeping Thomas Lorenz's team in touch with the non-relegation spots.
