On Sunday, our U13 team participated in an exciting performance comparison in Zülpich. In addition to the U12 team of hosts TuS Chlodwig Zülpich, the U12 team from Bergfried Leverkusen and the U13 team from FC Rot Weiß Berrendorf also competed in this tournament. 🏆
Our boys kicked things off in their first game against the team from Leverkusen. After a balanced match, a classic tap-in goal by Tom Hildebrandt seconds before the end secured the redeeming 1-0 victory. ⚽🙌
In the second game against Berrendorf's U13s, it became much clearer: With goals from Julian Glizicki, Ioan Suru, and Philip von Sanden, our team quickly led 3-0. The interim 3-1 score was then countered by Elisha Edokpayi. The final score of 4-1 was therefore deserved. 👏🔥
The last game against the host from Zülpich was, like the first, very balanced again. After ten minutes, Zülpich took a 1-0 lead. Our boys then strongly pushed for the equalizer, but despite some good chances, a goal just wouldn't come. Unfortunately, the last game that afternoon was lost. 😕
In the final standings, the two wins were still enough to go home as the top team from this competition. An all-around successful Sunday to boost confidence for the upcoming tasks in the Rheinlandliga! 💯💪
