C III vs JSG Hohe Eifel Herresbach 2:5 (1:2)
Disappointment for the C III on the last matchday in the Kreisklasse: The home game on the 8th matchday was lost 2:5 (1:3) against JSG Herresbach. Despite a clear advantage in possession, coach Goran Strk's team could not defeat the opponent. The visitors from Herresbach were ice-cold on counter-attacks and consistently took their chances. Lisi Thaci scored a brace shortly before and immediately after halftime to equalize at 2:2, but Herresbach struck again and eventually deservedly prevailed. As third in the table, the district capital's youth team now faces the last two championship games against the top two teams, TuS Oberwinter and JSG Zissen. However, with a five-point deficit to second place, which would qualify them for the Leistungsklasse, it seems more realistic that the team will remain in the Kreisklasse in the spring round.
JSG Nickenich III vs C III 0:4 (0:3)
D III, one of our two U7 teams, once again confirmed their strong start to the season last weekend. In a 4-0 away win (3-0 at halftime) against JSG Nickenich, Moritz and Christopher Feigk's boys secured their sixth win in six games. Gabriel Alchanaa and Olsi Zogaj each scored twice, securing another impressive success for the team. Now, only one more point from the last two games of the season is needed to perfect their league victory.
JSG Vordereifel Kürrenberg vs C IV 11-0 (3-0)
The same procedure as every weekend: Once again, the C IV (photo), the second team of the ABC in the 7-a-side league, left the field as the clearly inferior team. The team had to accept a clear 0:11 (0:3) defeat against JSG Vordereifel. Although Noor Shadman's team fought bravely in the first half, with increasing playing time and waning strength – the C IV only fielded seven players – there was nothing more to be done against the fourth-placed team.
