FINALLY A THREE-PEAT AGAIN! AHRWEILER BC'S U17 TEAM WINS AGAINST UNTER-MOSEL

After four games without a win, Ahrweiler BC's U17 team finally had reason to celebrate again on Thursday evening. In their home game on matchday 11, the boys coached by Fabian Lorca, Jürgen Deutsch, and Karl Heinz Classen secured a 3-1 (2-1) victory against ninth-placed JSG Untermosel. The ABC players had to overcome an early 0-1 deficit. However, after a somewhat bumpy start overall, the team increasingly took control and turned the game around with two goals before halftime. Giulio Cristofalo shone particularly brightly here: he set up Alexander Braun's equalizer (36') and scored the 2-1 lead himself (40'+3) after a strong individual effort.

In the second half, the game mostly shifted to midfield, until Braun provided the decisive goal in the 61st minute with his second strike – a classic rebound after a deflected shot from Jakob Forster. Ultimately, it was a deserved victory, especially since the crossbar also had to help out the visitors once more. The ABC juniors now face the tough task on Sunday of competing against the seventh-placed JSG Bremm, but they remain within striking distance of the top of the table.
