The U19 team of Ahrweiler BC heads into the winter break with optimism. After a first half of the season full of ups and downs, the team sits in a solid 8th place in the Rheinlandliga. Head coach Timo Uhlendahl and youth director Gerd Treffer draw a positive conclusion despite some fluctuations. The team was particularly impressive in attack – led by goal machine Max Isgaem, who leads the top scorers list with 13 goals. 🎯
But now the focus of preparation is on the second half of the season, because from January 7th it's back to: training, team spirit, and fine-tuning tactics. 🏋️♂️

Personnel News: Movement within the Team
In the winter transfer window, there are both arrivals and departures. Welcome back, Ilja Sihvart, who is playing for ABC again after a stint at SG 99 Andernach. 👏 However, Nemer Aljammali (destination unknown), Ibrahim Kilicalsan (to VfB Linz), and captain Tobias Binder, who has played his way up to the U23 team thanks to strong performances, have left the team. A true example of ABC's great youth development work. 💪
Unfortunately, it remains uncertain when long-term injured players Nils Hensel and Serhat Acar can return. Get well soon, guys. 🙏
The winter break therefore offers ample opportunities to stabilize the defense and further refine teamwork. The young talents and the coaching staff are eager to get started in 2025 and prove their strengths once again.
