This weekend, our E-youth team 5 (born 2016) was hosted by the girls and boys of SV Berg/Freisheim. With the best football weather – and a good amount of dust on the field – a lively and spirited game developed, where the fun of playing the ball was clearly the main focus.
Both teams showed great enthusiasm for the game, effort, and fantastic individual plays. There was dribbling, passing, fighting, and celebrating – just as it should be in youth soccer. In the end, our Ahrweiler boys had the happier outcome, but as always: results aren't the priority – development counts!
It was especially pleasing to see how much joy and team spirit our boys brought to the field. Many good approaches and visible development on the pitch make us look forward to the upcoming challenges.
