The U23 team of Ahrweiler BC can rely on a long-standing key player for the upcoming season: Michel Wagneder will strengthen the team again starting this summer. The 28-year-old is returning after a short stint with SC Bad Bodendorf last season and will thus rejoin the club where he has spent most of his football development since his youth.
Wagneder has already left his mark during his time with both the B-Juniors and the seniors. Most recently, he was part of the U23 team that celebrated promotion to the Bezirksliga last season. The lightning-fast winger is known for his dynamism and reliability on the pitch, as well as his team-oriented attitude.
"From the summer, a player will again be available in Michel who stands for quality on the pitch as well as for camaraderie and straightforwardness. The joy for me, my teammates, and many club officials is great that Michel is back," emphasizes Sporting Director Aldin Sukic, who describes the signing as a real desired transfer.
Even Wagneder himself looks forward to his return with great anticipation:
"I'm thrilled to be back at ABC. There's a great team on and off the pitch, and I can't wait to get started again."
The club welcomes Michel Wagneder back with open arms and great appreciation: "Michel is not only a sporting asset, but also a human gain for our U23. His return clearly underscores the direction the team has taken again. Welcome back to ABC, Michel!"
With this reinforcement, the U23 team is sending a clear signal for team spirit in the new season.
