At the end of a challenging Rhineland League season on June 14th, our grand season finale took place.
Early in the morning, with almost the entire team, we set off for Kaiserslautern. First stop: the Football Fever exhibition. But despite the previous agreement – surprise – it was closed. No problem, we quickly rearranged: instead of the exhibition, we took the kids on a stroll through the nearby shopping mall.
In the afternoon, we had a nice meal at the golden M restaurant. After that, we headed to the youth performance center of 1. FC Kaiserslautern. There, the club celebration for the 125th anniversary took place. Our boys were able to try out various sports teams such as basketball, triathlon, hockey, and handball – and that despite the summer heat! Of course, playing football was also not missing.
The free offers were particularly popular: ice cream, slushies and fresh fruit were gone like hot cakes. To conclude, there was also the opportunity to watch the FCK traditional team’s game against Ü40 from Luxembourg – a successful finale before heading back home.
In summary: a truly wonderful day, happy kids, great atmosphere! Now the team is starting the preparation for the new Bezirksliga season 2025/26 with fresh energy – this time as U14s!
