U15 CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL SEASON OPENING
U15 I Ahrweiler BC vs JFV Schieferland I 7:0 (1:0)
With an impressive 7-0 (1-0) victory against JFV Schieferland, the Ahrweiler BC U15 started the Rheinlandliga on Saturday.
From the very beginning, the home team took control on the artificial turf in Bachem. The majority of the match took place in the visitors’ half, whose team was predominantly made up of younger players. Nevertheless, it was not possible for the team of Senad Sukic and Benjamin Ibrahimovic to convert the playing superiority into goals at first. The JFV Schieferland defense was compact, and in some of the plays there was a lack of consistency in the finishing. Consequently, only one goal was scored in the first half by Louis Frey, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead at halftime.
After the halftime break, the ABC youth team presented themselves with more purpose and significantly more efficiency. Oskar Obliers with a double hat-trick, Milan Witenborog, Joel Pullera, an own goal by the guests, and Maurice Möhren increased the lead to 7:0 in a one-sided second half and ensured a deserved final result.
A successful start that sets the direction for the upcoming tasks with a clear result – nothing more. The guests are still in the process of finding their footing after personnel changes and the involvement of many younger players from the generation.
As early as next weekend, the ABC youth team will face a real test in the Rheinlandliga against FC Rot-Weiß Koblenz.
U14 CELEBRATES HAPPY SEASON OPENING IN METTERNICH
U14 I FC Metternich II I 0:3 (0:2)
The Ahrweiler BC U14 team started the new Bezirksliga season with a win away from home. In a match against FC Metternich II, the team of Julian Hilberath, Björn Glasner and Bella Angelova deservedly won 3-0 (2-0) on Saturday.
From the very beginning, the young A-Club players showed a focused performance. As early as the first minute, new addition Luca Schneider took advantage of the first opportunity to lead early. The team remained attentive thereafter and consistently executed the instructions. Once again, it was Schneider who scored the 2-0 goal after 13 minutes. With a solid defensive performance, the visitors subsequently managed to largely control the proceedings.
After the halftime break, ABC continued to play in a disciplined manner. When Florian Kretschmann scored the 3-0 goal in the 41st minute, the match was already decided in advance. The lead was no longer in danger in the later stages, allowing the team to conclude the match in complete dominance.
