U15 gets a point in Koblenz – Defending is good, but the offense lacks punch
U15 I FC Rot-Weiß Koblenz vs Ahrweiler BC I 0:0
English week for the U15 in the Rheinlandliga: After the furious 7-0 opener against JFV Schieferland, Senad Sukic's team had to settle for a 0-0 draw against FC Rot-Weiß Koblenz on Wednesday evening. The hosts relied from the start on a compact defense and waited for counterattacks, while the ABC youth team struggled to get into the game at first. Many small mistakes and a noticeable nervousness prevented dangerous actions, so the first half remained without major scenes.
After the break, Sukic brought fresh energy with Joel Pullera and Ole Klaes, who provided more structure in the attacking game. However, despite improved attacking efforts, determination and tempo in the final phase were lacking. On the other side, the ABC defense had to remain alert – especially defender Jakob Dietzmann (symbol photo), who with strong possession of the ball cleared several times and stood out as one of the most impressive players.
“We didn’t show our best performance today, but the zero was still a result,” said Sukic. This weekend, FSV Trier-Tarforst awaits – currently the lowest-ranked team in the league in the association league.
