The U10 team of Ahrweiler BC kicked off their district cup season with an exciting cup evening. In the first round, the team coached by Darijo Matosevic and Alem Porca faced SV Ochtendung away, who largely fielded players from the older age group. From the start, the ABC juniors showed a strong performance, pressing the game into the opponent's half and deservedly taking the lead through Leandro Tabaku. Despite many chances, the score remained a narrow 1-0 at halftime. After the break, keeper Anton Lorenz kept the team in the game with several strong saves. Ochtendung initially equalized, but Bleard Blenishti immediately restored the original lead. However, in the final minute, the hosts managed to score to make it 2-2. In the subsequent penalty shootout, the ABC kickers showed nerves of steel and won 6-4. The team thus celebrated their first competitive win of the season.
