Efficient and determined – U15 wins deservedly 4:1

The Ahrweiler BC U15 team celebrated a deserved 4-1 (3-0) home victory against JFV Bitburg on the 8th matchday of the Rheinlandliga, thus cementing their position in fourth place. After six wins, one draw, and one loss, the young talents have 19 points.

From the start, the ABC youth controlled the game, letting the ball and opponents run. Despite some hectic phases and noticeable nervousness, success was never in doubt. Joel Pullera scored the 1-0 (12') after a strong assist from Leon Bertram down the right side. Just a few minutes later, Nils Piegeler increased the lead with a volley after a set piece initiated by Felix Küppe. In first-half stoppage time, Piet Kürsten scored a spectacular goal into the top corner from a half-left position – 3-0.

After changing sides, Bitburg scored a consolation goal after a free kick, but Oskar Obliers restored the original lead with a header from a precise cross by Raphael Saftig. Further chances went begging, but in the end, it was a commanding and deserved victory.

This coming weekend, the undefeated league leader FC Metternich awaits.
