With a convincing 3:0 win at SG Mülheim-Kärlich II, the U17s of Ahrweiler BC kept up with the top of the table. The team of Joe Yankey, Fabian Lorca, Jürgen Deutsch and Karl-Heinz Classen showed tactical discipline right from the start and initially allowed their opponents the ball. "We wanted to be safe at the back," explained assistant coach Lorca. Despite good transitional moments, the game remained goalless at the break.
After the break, the ABC youngsters increasingly took control. Standards finally brought the decision: In minute 58, Alexander Braun volleyed home a Lorca cross to take the lead. Ten minutes later, David Lorca scored directly from a free-kick to make it 0:2, with Braun again scoring the final goal with a remarkable shot from distance after a beautiful combination.
A confident performance that gives courage for the upcoming tasks. On November 1, the U17s will host the bottom team JSG Cochem.
