Last Friday, the Old Men II of the Ahrweiler BC held their 2025 Annual General Meeting in the clubhouse on Kreuzstraße in Bad Neuenahr. In a harmonious and friendly atmosphere, the previous board was discharged and a new management team was appointed.
Special recognition was given to Dieter Weiland, a veteran member of the Board of Directors, and Martin Lehnert, who were formally bid farewell and honored for their many years of service to the department. Both have shaped the community life of the Old Men's II for years and provided valuable impetus for the department and the entire club.
The department, which currently has 81 members, originally emerged from the old men's team of SC 07 Bad Neuenahr. After the insolvency of the traditional club, the group found its new sporting home at Ahrweiler BC - and has been an integral part of the district town club ever since.
In addition to their active support of the youth and senior teams, the Old Men II also celebrated sporting successes, winning the Rhineland Cup in 2023 and 2024.
The new board is composed as follows: Ralf Schmitt (chairman), Danilo Arata (1st deputy chairman), Ralf Bachem (2nd deputy chairman), Niklas Fernandez (treasurer), Roman (secretary) as well as Mino Cristofalo and Michael Lorca (assessors).
The department is looking forward to the coming season with confidence - supported by a sense of community, commitment and tradition.
