++ABC III: GOAL FESTIVAL IN THE PREMIERE MATCH OF THE REMAGENER U23++

On Friday evening, the third team of Ahrweiler BC won 4-7 (2-2) at the newly founded U23 team of SV Remagen. Full-back Fabrice Vangu drew attention with three goals. At the start of the first match for Remagen's reserve team and as thanks for the provision of training and playing facilities, ABC coach Mohamed Abou-Ayda presented Remagen's coaches Patrick Wambier and Norman Tischendorf with a small gift.

The third team from the district capital started very well and, after taking a 0-1 lead (1st minute) through Bilal Elgergawy, had further chances to score, but it wasn't until the 25th minute that Fabrice Vangu increased the lead to 0-2. However, the home team was by no means shaken and used their strongest phase shortly before halftime to score two goals, making it 2-2 at the break.

Shortly after the restart, the newcomer, playing in the Kreisliga D, even took a 3-2 lead. However, within ten minutes after the hour mark, ABC III responded to the deficit with four goals from Fabrice Vangu (2), returning player Marco Schumacher, and Almedin Ljaljic, deciding the game. It was Ljaljic again who scored the seventh goal for his team, before the hosts reduced the deficit to 4-7 with the final goal of the day just minutes before the final whistle. "That was a good performance from my team," said ABC coach Mohamed Abou-Ayda, but at the same time pointed to the lack of consistency in capitalizing on chances in the opening fifteen minutes.

Ahrweiler BC wishes Patrick Wambier's very likeable and developing team lots of luck, success, and health in their inaugural season. We would also like to thank you for allowing our 3rd team to train and play in Remagen, just as they did last season, and for the upcoming season. You are great hosts!!
