A – Number of members:

At the turn of the year, the club had 772 members, while a year earlier Ahrweiler BC had 769 members.

Ball boys

A total of 183 ball boys/girls were deployed for the first team's home games in the 2019/2020 season.

C - Pandemic Pause

As is the case with many other clubs, the ABC is trying to make the best possible use of the Corona break. The creativity of individual coaches is in demand, especially in youth development. Challenges and training via video chat and digital contact are becoming almost the norm. Behind the scenes, video and telephone conferences are also almost a daily occurrence for the ABC's management team.

D – Dome:

During their summer preparation, the U23 team headed to the Telekom Dome for a training session. Telekom Baskets physiotherapist Bogdan Sucio, who has also worked with the national basketball team, really put the lads under the guidance of coaching duo Mario Brötz and Sam Schüring through their paces.

F – FSJ

The ABC has been offering young people the opportunity to complete a "Voluntary Social Year" for the fourth year now. Since last summer, two FSJ participants have been serving at the ABC for the first time.

G – Won:

The ABC teams participating in the current season's competition have won 38 out of a total of 80 league games, which averages to 1.58 points per game.

Heavens, a bear!

ABC Ole, Ole, the Ahrweiler stadium anthem originates from the composition of the Eifel rock band "Heavens a Bear", fronted by Guido Krämer.www.heavensabeer.de). Upon request from ABC, the song "Alles klar" was changed with lyrics tailored to Ahrweiler BC.

International

The active players of Ahrweiler BC come from a total of 25 nations. After German nationality, players from Syria and Kosovo are most frequently on the ball for the traditional club.

J – Anniversary Year

The 100th anniversary of the club should have been the focus of the past year, 2020, but the Corona pandemic thwarted many planned festivities. However, 101 years also provides a reason for celebration, so the 100-year Ahrweiler BC celebration planned for the previous year is set to take place this year with a delay. The location and time will be announced in due course.
