AHRWEILER BC STARTS THE NEW SEASON WITH SIX U19 TEAMS

The Ahrweiler BC is entering the upcoming season with a total of six junior E teams, focusing on a new game format specifically designed to foster young talent. Four of these teams – the E III, E IV, E V, and E VI – will compete in the innovative game format with four field players and one goalkeeper, supplemented by four rotating players. The new game format aims to prioritize the individual athletic development of the children.

"This game format offers children optimal conditions for developing at their own pace. It's important to us that young players can build their technical skills while simultaneously improving their game and spatial understanding," explains Gerd Treffer, youth director of Ahrweiler BC.

The squads of the E-Junior teams each consist of a maximum of ten players, all of whom belong to the younger birth year of the E-Juniors. The coaches are particularly focused on the further development of players who have already gained initial experience in F-Juniors with the Funino game format. The aim now is to get the children used to the new game format and enable them to make further progress in technique, shooting, tactical understanding, and positioning. The fun of the game and team building within the teams are of the highest priority.

The game time for the matches is two times 25 minutes. The determination of results and the use of referees are deliberately omitted in order to promote the spirit of fair play and to provide children with a playful and carefree football experience.

Each team trains twice a week under the guidance of dedicated coaches. The E III is supervised by Dennis Preußner, the E IV by Christian Wolf, while Gerrit Kanowski trains the E V.

The E VI will be temporarily managed by youth coach Gerd Treffer and small-field coordinator Thomas Lorenz. The youth department of Ahrweiler BC would be very pleased to receive support from an additional coach for the E-youth sector, as Lorenz and Treffer enjoy coaching the E VI, but would still be grateful if they could soon fully concentrate on their original tasks again.

In this season, Ahrweiler BC sees a valuable opportunity to offer young talents optimal development conditions and to further support them on their footballing journey.
