AHRWEILER BC PROUD OF JAKOB FORSTER: NOMINATED FOR RHINELAND SELECTION

Ahrweiler BC is proud of its U17 player Jakob Forster, who was nominated for the Rhineland selection and participated in a training camp for a week in Calella, Catalonia.

Under the direction of association coach Thomas Impekoven and his team, Jakob Forster and 21 other talented players spent an intensive training week on the Iberian Peninsula from the end of February to the beginning of March. The boys completed two training sessions daily under excellent conditions. Test matches were also on the agenda. Against CE Sant Gabriel, a league competitor of FC Barcelona's youth academy, the Rheinland team showed a strong performance but narrowly lost 3-4. In the second test match against the Schleswig-Holstein association team, they achieved a clear 4-0 victory.

Jakob Forster drew a consistently positive conclusion: "For me personally, it was a great experience to meet so many outstanding players from Rhineland-Palatinate. Especially when you consider that a year ago I was still playing in the Kreisliga in NRW, this is something very special. The training camp enriched me greatly, both athletically and personally. I can't highlight a single highlight because the whole week was simply great."

Ahrweiler BC is delighted with Jakob Forster for this deserved nomination and his great experiences. We are proud to have such a talented and dedicated player in our ranks. Jakob's nomination is a well-earned reward for his strong performances for the club. We are convinced that he will continue his football journey successfully.
