"We haven't done too badly in recent games. The performances were almost always better than the results," says Furkan Kalin, currently interim player-coach of the 3rd team of Ahrweiler BC. In the last two games before the winter break against SG Wassenach, the trainer is therefore demanding two mandatory wins in the home and away games against the combined team from Wassenach and Niederlützingen, who have only achieved one victory so far in a total of 12 league games in Kreisliga C.
Kalin, who is currently injured himself, has to do without some of his players due to suspensions, illness, and injuries, but this does not dampen the optimism of the former Rheinlandliga player: "I am convinced that we will enter the winter break with a positive feeling."
