++ Squandering Chances Prevents U19 Away Win ++

Game progression

The U19 team of Ahrweiler BC achieved a 2-2 (1-0) draw on the 5th matchday of the Rheinlandliga against JFV Hunsrückhöhe Morbach. This is their second success after their opening win at the start of the season. Head coach Maxwell Lunga's team got off to a good start: Cristiano Schulze scored a remarkable goal into the top corner with a free-kick from 25 meters in the 11th minute. ABC dominated, rarely allowed defensive chances, and hit the woodwork multiple times.

After the break, Morbach equalized shortly after the restart, before Schulze shone again: his precise free kick found the head of Lukas Heinrichs, who headed in for the renewed lead (59th). Despite further opportunities, ABC failed to decide the match early. In stoppage time, Morbach punished the sloppiness and scored the equalizer with the last action.

Game commentary

Team Coordinator Tempel: "We did a lot of things right, but didn't get rewarded. Scoring opportunities remain our biggest issue."
