The D III juniors left for the fall break with two losses. Nevertheless, coach Alexander Blauhut was very satisfied with the performance and development of his boys. On Saturday, they lost 3-1 (1-0) away to SG Bad Breisig. The hosts secured the victory in the final minutes with two clean counter-attacks right in the middle of the Kreisstädter's pressure phase. In between, the hosts' own goal (51') equalized the score at 1-1. A great sporting gesture at the end of the match when Bad Breisig's goalkeeper Lukas Heidgen stepped forward alone to apologize to the opposing team for the hot-headed conduct of some of his teammates. Hats off!!
The start of the second half of the season against league leaders JSG Unterahr Bad Bodendorf on Monday evening also ended with a 3-1 (2-0) loss. However, as in the previous game against Bad Breisig, the young ABC players competed at eye level in phases. Mustaf Mohammad converted a penalty in the final minute. If one uses the 8-0 defeat at the beginning of the season as a measure of the team's progress, then one can be very satisfied with the overall development of the D III juniors. They will resume play on November 5th with a home game against SG Westum II.
