After a 7:3 (4:1) victory early Friday evening in Bad Neuenahr, the Ahrweiler BC U10 juniors are in the lead of the Kreisliga with nine points from three games. Against Grafschafter JSG II, the team of Darijo Matosevic and Lukas Gronwald initially had problems getting into the game and even conceded a goal to make it 0:1. However, the team kept their composure and by halftime had a 4:1 lead.
In the second half, the game was again up and down at first, but the youth players from the district town had largely regained control of the game towards the end and were able to maintain their lead with a 7-3 victory. David Matosevic and Mehras Moradi scored twice each. The remaining goals were scored by Felix Stahl, Blagoveest Andreev and Noah Willmann.
Next weekend, TuS Koblenz will host a test match in Bad Neuenahr.
