For the third-to-last match and second-to-last home game of the year, Ahrweiler BC III will host the second-placed team, SG Inter Sinzig II, on Friday evening. The Kreisliga C match on Remagen's artificial turf will be kicked off at 8:00 PM by referee Ralf Dünchel.
The third team is in 6th place in the league standings after 11 games with 16 points. SG Inter Sinzig II has already played one more game and has accumulated 31 points so far. Including the 3-3 draw on the last matchday against SG Ahrtal II, ABC III has been waiting for a win for 5 league games. Whether their losing streak will end against the district league reserve team, a combination of Bad Breisig and Sinzig, is unlikely. Even for interim player-coach Furkan Kalin, the question of the favorite for this match is clear: "I see Inter as the clear favorite, both for Friday night's game and for the championship," said the current coach of the 3rd team. He will have to do without his own players due to injury, as well as the services of Tobias Gemein and Beson Bytyqi. Benedikt Ferber will be back, having been sidelined recently due to an injury.
