3-0 against SG Wassenach
Great relief for the third team of Ahrweiler BC. After a dry spell of seven winless league games and one cup match, the team finally managed to get three points again in the last game of the year before the start of the winter break. Against the bottom team SG Wassenach, against whom they had recently lost the first leg 3-2 away last weekend, the protégés of interim coach Furkan Kalin won 3-0 (1-0) on Friday evening and occupy sixth place in the Kreisliga C with a total of 19 points at the end of the first half of the season.
Fidai Misini (35'), Arian Sulejmani (50'), and Adnan Gerguri (82') scored for the district capital's reserve team to secure a hardly threatened victory. In particular, header scorer Arian Sulejmani, who played alone in the defensive midfield position, convinced with a good performance.
Turbulent first half of the season
Thus ended the first half of the season, which started very well for the "Thirds" but, as the turn of the year approached, developed more and more negatively. From the use of an ineligible player to the resignation of the coaching staff and a losing streak, the boys around captain Quendrim Jashanica had to endure quite a bit. In that regard, just a big thank you for your endurance.
The first match of the second half of the season will be played on March 24, 2023, against SpVgg Burgbrohl.
