On the fourth matchday of the performance league, coach Thomas Lorenz's U11 team suffered an unexpected defeat. In their away game against JSG Bad Breisig, his protégés lost with a narrow score of 3:2. The team was already trailing 2:0 at halftime, but despite a fighting effort, they managed to temporarily equalize the game.
Louis Kleiss (30') and Tom Hildebrandt (39') scored the goals that brought about the equalizer. Nevertheless, the home team ultimately managed to score the decisive goal and win the game 3-2. It was an exciting E-Juniors match in which JSG Bad Breisig prevailed.
With this defeat, the team missed out on climbing to the top of the table, which is currently held by the equal-scoring Grafschafter JSG. "I think we quickly learned the right lessons from the defeat," commented team coordinator Michael Hildebrandt on the situation, emphasizing that the review of the first loss of the season has already begun.
It remains to be seen how ABC's U11 team will perform in the coming games and whether they will be able to recover from this defeat and come back stronger. On Friday, April 5th, the fifth matchday features a home game against JSG Ahrtal.
