Even in the 6th season match of Ahrweiler BC's U10 team, which was also the first second-round match in the E-Junioren Staffel 8, the younger age group of the E-Juniors from the district capital once again impressed with a good performance. In their last game before the autumn holidays, the Boys in Red won 11-1 (4-0) against the bottom-of-the-table team SGL Heimersheim II and, with a total of 18 points – a perfect record – continue to hold the top spot in the league.
The coaching duo Darijo Matošević and Lukas Gronwald once again relied on the versatility of their boys. Henri Stege impressed as goalkeeper in a relatively balanced first half before adding his name to the list of goal scorers in the second half (3x David Matošević, 2x Leart Jashanica, 2x Mehras Moradi, 2x Henri Stege, 1x Moritz Winnen, 1x Nelson Busch).
"The boys showed a lot of fun and joy in the game today," said Matošević and Gronwald. They were also pleased with the impressive learning curve of their protégés since the start of the season: "It was great to see how Nelson Busch, for example, has developed in recent months and brought calm and security to the game defensively."
Despite the overall very positive record in the first steps as E-Juniors, training will continue for the next 3 weeks before league play resumes on November 3rd with an away game against SG Westum III.
