The U11 team of Ahrweiler BC made their delayed start to the new season on Friday evening with a 6-2 home victory against JSG Niederzissen. From the start, the team coached by Sarah and Dennis Preußner showed courage and enthusiasm for the game, putting the visitors under pressure early on and rewarding themselves with a clear 4-1 lead at halftime. Younes El Bayyari, who scored a total of four goals, was the most outstanding player, while Eris Zogaj and Deon Ibrahim increased the score. After the break, the young team lost control at times, allowing Niederzissen into the game but capitalizing on their own chances more consistently. "At times it was mixed, but we took our chances better. A good start that we can build on – yes, perhaps even must," commented coach Sarah Preußner after the final whistle.

Two games, two wins – the Ahrweiler BC U11 II remains undefeated even after their home match against JSG Westum II. After the opening 4-1 victory at Grafschafter JSG, Joe Yankey and Victoria Einert's protégés applied pressure from the start this time as well. A brace from Julian Astor and Mohamed Yousef, along with an own goal by the visitors and a strike from Rinis Muharremi, clearly set the course for victory before halftime. With a 4-1 lead, the ABC also showed enthusiasm in the second half. Muharremi finally scored the final goal for a 5-1 victory. What remained was a duel between two honest, fair teams, characterized by real children's football. Thanks also go to the coaches of both sides for their work.
