The U23 team of ABC continues to work on the squad for the 2019/20 season with great intensity and can present another new signing, Joshua Schmickler from Spvgg Burgbrohl.
Ahrweiler BC has secured the services of Joshua Schmickler for the upcoming Kreisliga A season. The 21-year-old, who most recently played for B-League team Spvgg Burgbrohl, will strengthen the midfield of the U23 team. The technician with excellent vision on the field was well-trained in the youth divisions of TuS Mayen and TSC Euskirchen, among others, and has previously played for SG Eintracht Mendig and Spvgg Burgbrohl in the senior league.
"It's great that we managed to get Joshua to join our club. With him, we can add another piece to the puzzle in the planning and strategic direction of the Rheinlandliga reserve team and further improve our football. He has the ability to develop and decide a game. He can help us achieve our goals and be a real reinforcement," said Denis Schäfer (Sports Management).
"Most recently, my footballing heart decided to join an ambitious club like ABC. The excellent reputation of the entire club and the intensive discussions with Denis Schäfer had already convinced me. I think I can continue to develop my footballing skills there," said Schmickler.
