++Young Talents on the Ball: Ahrweiler BC U12 Triumphs Against SG Westum II 6:2++

In a D-Junioren Kreisklasse match played on Friday evening on the artificial turf of the central pitch in Bad Neuenahr, the Ahrweiler BC U12 proved their skills and secured a 6-2 (2-0) victory against SG Westum II. Under the guidance of coaches Gerd Treffer and Bella Angelova, the young football talents delivered a good performance.

The first half began with a clear dominance for Ahrweiler BC U12, who created numerous scoring opportunities. Despite this, SG Westum II showed passionate defending and was particularly attentive to loose balls. Benjamin Faltin put his team ahead with a brace, and so they went into halftime with a deserved 2-0 lead.

In the second half, the district capital kickers of Ahrweiler BC continued their offensive style of play and created further scoring opportunities. Carlos Hanna and Levi Figura extended the lead to 4-0. However, Westum showed great fighting spirit and reduced the deficit to 4-2 through two successful counter-attacks. The Ahrweiler BC team, however, remained undeterred and pressed on. Philip von Sanden and Lasse Claesgens scored to make the final score 6-2, securing the fourth victory in four games for the team of Treffer and Angelova.

With this victory, Ahrweiler BC U12 temporarily retains the top spot in the standings, at least until the next match of second-placed Grafschafter JSG on Saturday. The team will compete away against SGL Heimersheim this coming Thursday, who currently hold fourth place with six points. In the first leg, Ahrweiler BC secured a convincing 12-1 victory, and the team hopes to deliver another strong performance and earn more points at the start of the second half of the season.
