The U23 team continues to work on its new squad for the upcoming season in the Kreisliga A and can announce a new signing in Marc Pelzer. The 19-year-old natural striker most recently played for FC Pech, for whom he scored sixteen times in the Kreisliga B last season, his first senior year. Pelzer learned the ins and outs of football at VfL Meckenheim, SV Rot-Weiß Merl, and SC Altendorf-Ersdorf.
"After my first two senior seasons in Pech, I'm really looking forward to the new challenge with the U23 team at Ahrweiler BC. I had very good conversations with the management, and the club's clear plan to field a U23 team convinced me completely. I'm already excited about the structured environment, my new teammates, and the athletic challenge," said Marc Pelzer.
Denis Schäfer (Sporting Director): "Marc is a talented attacking player with considerable quality in finishing. At 19 years old, he already has 26 goals in Kreisliga B to his name, proving he's a real goal scorer. We're all the more pleased that we've succeeded in convincing the likeable young player of our club's advantages."
Ahrweiler BC warmly welcomes Marc Pelzer and wishes him the best of luck and success in his new role.
