Lifting the trophy high, just like after last season's final victory against FV Rübenach. That's the goal of the Ahrweiler BC's over-35 team. However, they must first overcome the quarter-final hurdle on Saturday against SC Concordia Saffig. After two opening away wins against SV Feldkirchen (2-1) and SG Weiler (7-1), SC Concordia Saffig awaits – an opponent that will demand everything from the former football heroes of the district capital. With 6-1 and 3-0 wins against SV Rengsdorf and FSV Kamp-Bornhofen/Osterspai respectively, Saffig easily qualified for the round of the last eight teams.
