With excitement and great ambition, the U14 team of Ahrweiler BC is starting the new season of the Bezirksliga Mitte. The team, which has already played its first match day with a 1:3 away loss against JSG Hunsrück Mittelrhein, is not discouraged by this. Under the guidance of an experienced coaching team, consisting of Vahidin "Caki" Cahtarevic – the Bosnian has 2 A-international caps in his playing career and most recently worked in the coaching staff of FC Hetten in the second-highest league in Saudi Arabia –, Senad Sukic, and goalkeeping coach Peter Sahl, the young talents train intensively three times a week to achieve their goal: a successful season that will pave the way for the boys into the Rheinlandliga. Jörg Printzen supports the coaching team as coordinator and organizer.
The Path to the Future: Development in Focus 🎯
The U14 team of Ahrweiler BC has ambitious goals. Coach Sukic emphasizes that it's not just about sporting success, but also about the individual development of each player. "Our goal is to fundamentally prepare every player for the Rheinlandliga and to teach them the ability to find solutions on the field individually and as a group," says Sukic. The focus is on developing both the physical and footballing skills of the young players. 💪⚽
A strong foundation: The U14 squad 👥
The U14 squad consists of 22 talented players, who are starting the season with diverse experiences. 14 of them come from last year's U13 team, which was already active in the Rheinlandliga, thus bringing valuable experience. There are only three players from the older 2010 age group, while the majority belong to the 2011 age group. Among them are also seven external new signings, who are expected to further strengthen the team and provide new impetus. With this mix, the team has great potential. 🌟
Goals and Expectations: Targeting a Secure Midfield
Although the season is still young, the team's goal is clear: a secure mid-table position. However, in addition to results on the field, it is particularly important to the coaches that the team plays attractive football and that the players continuously develop. "We have many very talented players who, with the right development, will ensure many respectable games," says Sukic optimistically. ⚽👏
Outlook: A Season Full of Opportunities 🌟
The Ahrweiler BC U14 team faces a season full of challenges, but also full of opportunities. With hard work, team spirit, and the right attitude, this team could finish the season in a very good position. Just like last season, when the 2010-born players achieved an excellent fourth-place finish. 🔥
