Our U15 team gave it their all on matchday 8 of the Rheinlandliga championship division against the strong second-placed team, Spvgg Trier, even though the final score was 2:5 (1:1). 💪⚽
From the start, there was fire in the game: the Trier team came with a fine blade, but our boys fought back with passion and effort – and were rewarded early. Dion Ademaj scored in the 15th minute to give us a 1-0 lead and made us all dream of a big upset for a moment. 😍🚀
Sure, Trier equalized before halftime and took the lead right after the whistle. But anyone who thought our Red and Whites would hang their heads now was completely wrong. Simon Gros had a great chance to equalize from the penalty spot, but the outstandingly reacting visiting goalkeeper was unfortunately there. Shaken it off briefly – and carried on. After the 1-3, Dion again scored with a header from a free kick by Gros and brought us back into the game with the 2-3. 🙌🔥
The final offensive was here, the passion was guaranteed – but Trier countered ice-cold and sealed the deal in the final minutes – a deserved victory for the Mosel team. Nevertheless, our boys never gave up and showed what they're made of. ❤️🤍
Next week is the away game against the bottom-ranked team JFV Schieferland – anything is possible, boys. 👏🔴⚪
