In a true goal-scoring festival last Saturday, our U19 team virtually swept JSG Ahrbach off their pitch with an 8-0 (3-0) victory, thus securing third place in the Rheinlandliga! ⚽
The boys coached by Timo Uhlenbdahl and Daniel Debus showed a strong team performance and gave the opponent no chance. Max Isgaem was particularly outstanding, becoming the player of the match with four goals.
But it wasn't just their accuracy that was impressive. The entire team showed superior play and kept the ball moving confidently through their ranks. The defense was solid, the midfield dictated the game, and the offense was effective in front of goal.
Goalkeeper Philip Schmidgen proved that our boys can score not only in attack, briefly having to be substituted by Max Isgaem. He stepped in at short notice and showed that he also looks good in goal.
With this victory, the U19s are making a clear statement for this season. The team is in good form and full of self-confidence.
This coming weekend, the U19 team has a bye and can thus optimally prepare for their next big game. On Tuesday, they will play the derby against SG 99 Andernach, the current sixth-place team in the league.
