++ DESERVED DEFEAT FOR B II JUNIORS AGAINST JSG EIFELHÖHE ULMEN++

The B II juniors returned from their match on Saturday, the eleventh matchday of the Bezirksliga, with a 3:1 (1:0) defeat. With four points separating them from a non-relegation spot, the team remains in ninth and penultimate place in the standings.

The first 15 minutes saw the young ABC players, coached by Christopher Exner, playing well and C-Junior Kaan Oksüz narrowly missing with a long-range shot. However, the hosts were not intimidated by their opponent's strong start and increasingly found their rhythm, becoming the dominant team from then on. They repeatedly managed to effectively use their fast forwards, as they did for the opening goal to make it 1-0 (18') at halftime.

Strong headwinds did not make ABC's task in the second half any easier. Just five minutes after the restart, a goalkeeper's clearance, affected by the wind, landed in the ranks of the host youth team, which did not miss this chance and increased the score to 2-0 (45'). Sabri Ibrahim could have reduced the deficit to 2-1 (48') shortly after, but Eifelhöhe-Ulmen remained the more active team and scored a header from a corner kick in stoppage time to make it 3-1. In the end, a deserved victory for the individually better-equipped home team, who, overall, also had more goal-scoring opportunities and a greater share of possession. For the Rheinlandliga reserve from Ahrtal, the next match is against the bottom-placed Grafschafter JSG next weekend.
