Wish list campaign a great success
Last Saturday, the Christmas party for the F-juniors and Bambini took place in the AHRche tent on Kalvarienbergstraße in Ahrweiler. A total of five teams from the district capital club were present. It was a special gathering held under the motto "Wish List 2022." Initiated by Maxi Bambini coach Gerrit Kanowski, Alexander Krauß from Upper Franconia came and brought each child a gift according to their wishes. This was preceded by a wish list campaign where Alexander Krauß publicly posted the wishes of the young ABC players in his hometown, and these were picked up and fulfilled by the many wonderful people in Speichersdorf and various sponsors. Just like last year, when the 20-year-old, who has also done a lot of good through volunteer work as a "Samaritan" in many other campaigns, already delighted many kids in the district capital with his wish list campaign, Krauß made the long journey to the Ahr Valley and made numerous children's eyes sparkle.
During his brief speech, organizer Gerrit Kanowski also honored ABC youth leader Gerd Treffer, who was unfortunately unable to attend in person, for his tireless commitment. He presented a good red wine from his hometown to ABC managing director Gerd Treffer as a substitute. With children's punch, mulled wine, soft drinks, and bratwurst, it was an all-around successful late afternoon, to which the AHRche, led by project manager Jan Pöhler, naturally also contributed significantly. Thank you for that. We would also like to express our sincere thanks for the support from the Brogsitter wine trade and the Peter Kriechel winery.
