⚽️ U19 DES AHRWEILER BC FIGHTS BRAVELY, BUT LOSES TO ANDERNACH ⚽️

On Tuesday evening, our U19 team faced SG 99 Andernach in the Rheinlandliga and had to accept a 1:5 defeat. 💔 After five matchdays, our record stands at 4 games played and 7 points, while Andernach celebrates a perfect record of 12 points from four games played.

The course of the match didn't start optimally for our boys: Andernach made an early impact and took the lead through Chadi Atwi in the 18th minute. However, our team quickly found its rhythm 💪 Max Isgaem scored the equalizer with his sixth goal of the season from a penalty – that was our team's best phase. Lion Debus also saved a penalty and kept us in the race. But shortly before halftime, Atwi struck again (2-1, 45'+3) and set the course for a win for the hosts.

However, the pressure became too much after Albijon Bajramaj's brilliant solo effort made it 3-1 in the 59th minute. In the final minutes, Andernach extended their lead with goals from Domnique Schmitz (85') and Ahmet Ljaljic (89'). Atwi and Ljaljic are both former ABC players, which makes the defeat bittersweet. 😔

Team supervisor Heidi Schulze described the match as a "lesson." But we look optimistically to the future. 💖 On Saturday, there will be another chance for redemption in the home game against JSG Trier. 🔥🙌
