On Friday, the Ahrweiler BC U11 juniors faced the SV Alzheim team. With perfect football weather and on their home artificial turf field in Bachem, ABC entered the game as the current league leader – tied on points with SG 99 Andernach.
From the beginning, our team dominated. The team created several clear scoring chances in the opening minutes but didn't convert them. The breakthrough came in the 14th minute: Nelson Busch opened the scoring. By halftime, Busch and Liam Wenigmann, both with two goals each, had extended the lead to a commanding 4-0.
Even in the second half, ABC showed playful and combinational skill. Despite numerous substitutions, the flow of the game was maintained. Felix Sahl, Christian Pütz, Noah Willmann with a special goal for his brother Leo, and Salomon Badagbon increased the score to 8-0.
A big compliment also goes to the bravely fighting team of SV Alzheim, who never gave up despite the clear score.
Next week, our boys have a real top match: in the home game against SG 99 Andernach, it's about the top of the table and winning the league – excitement guaranteed!
