With his enormous work rate, strong tackling, and clear understanding of the game, he impresses as a \"vacuum cleaner\" in front of the defense, providing stability in the center. His absence is immediately noticeable \u2013 a clear sign of his value to the team.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udc49 How did you come to SGL Heimersheim back then \u2013 and what prompted you to switch to ABC?<\/p>\n
I always had a ball at my feet since I was a little boy. My father registered me at SGL Heimersheim when I was four years old. After ten years there, I simply wanted to try something new - a new challenge. The move to ABC was exactly right.<\/p>\n
In defensive midfield, you have to run an incredible amount \u2013 is working for the team the part you enjoy the most?<\/p>\n
Definitely! I love winning important balls and rebuilding the game. The feeling when you help the team is just awesome.<\/p>\n
They say you notice immediately when you're missing \u2013 how important is your role on the team to you?<\/p>\n
That truly means a lot to me. I'm glad I was accepted so well right away and I can tell that I can help the team.<\/p>\n
What qualities do you think make a truly good defensive midfielder?<\/p>\n
Clearly: game overview, readiness to run and fight \u2013 and that you get involved at the front when it suits you.<\/p>\n
Are there role models in professional soccer, on your position, that you particularly admire?<\/p>\n
Yes, Eric Martel and Pedri \u2013 both play with incredible commitment and game intelligence.<\/p>\n
How do you manage to run so much in every game \u2013 do you have special routines?<\/p>\n
Actually, no. I just make sure to stay fit and always give it my all in training.<\/p>\n
Who gives you the most support on your journey as a footballer?<\/p>\n
Clearly: my teammates and the coaching staff. Without them, none of this would be possible.<\/p>\n
With whom on the team do you have the best coordination on the field?<\/p>\n
Things are working out really well with David Lorca and Luca Esper \u2013 we get along great off the pitch too.<\/p>\n
Do you have a pre-game ritual?<\/p>\n
Yes, I always listen to music, it puts me in the right mood.<\/p>\n
What are your goals for this season \u2013 and what do you dream of for the future?<\/p>\n
