Ahrweiler BC III Draws 4:4 Against SV Kripp II In Friendly Match

C-League team ABC III prepared for their rescheduled match against SC Wassenach, which kicks off the league season next weekend, with a final friendly game. On Friday evening, the team drew 4-4 (1-3) with SV Kripp II in a match with two very different halves.

In an eventful and high-scoring match on Friday evening, the visitors from the district capital were the more dominant team in the first half and deservedly went into halftime with a 3-1 lead. Abdelliah Nassir (2') gave them an early lead, while Almedin Ljaljic (21') and Bilal Elgergawy (45') added to it with their two penalties to make it 1-3. The interim equalizer was scored by Kripp's Florian Kunz (8').

Unlike in the first half, it was the hosts who took the initiative after the break on the slightly frozen artificial turf. Even a penalty kick saved by ABC keeper Yannic Waupke didn't deter Marc Göttlicher's team from their attacking approach towards the ABC goal. Within 22 minutes, the hosts turned the game around and were leading 4-3 after goals from Tobias Barkentien-Hebling (53', 61') and Luca Kohlhaas (75'). In the final sprint, Elgergawy scored his second goal of the day, securing a 4-4 draw that was fair for both teams. For both ABC coach Mohamed Abou-Ayda and Göttlicher, it was a confirmation of their positive preparation so far.
