Last Saturday, our U13 team played at home against SV Eintracht Trier – it was also the first appearance of Julian Hilberath as coach on the sidelines.
Despite a fighting performance, our boys ultimately lost 0-2.
In the first half, the guests from Trier had more possession, but ABC remained dangerous with quick counter-attacks. Ioan Suru, in particular, caused a lot of unrest in front of the opponent's goal.
However, shortly before halftime, Trier picked up the pace and scored the 0-1 (29') after a deflected corner kick. Just one minute later, they added to their lead with a perfectly executed attack down the byline, making it 0-2 (30').
Even in the second half, Trier remained the dominant team and hit the post early. But our boys didn't let up and fought until the last second!
In the final phase, we threatened the goal again, but two long-range shots from Philip von Sanden and a shot that hit the woodwork from Julian Glizicki unfortunately didn't find the back of the net.
Despite the defeat, coaches Julian Hilberath, Bella Angelova, and Björn Glasner can be proud of the morale and the organization in their boys' game.
This performance definitely gives hope for the upcoming tasks. Currently, the team is in 13th place in the standings.

Next chance: This coming weekend, we're heading away to tenth-placed SSV Heimbach-Weis – there we want to give our all again and get the next points!
