🎉 Historic Success 🎉
Our U13 team has made it to the final round of the last 8 teams for the first time. 🥳 The game will take place on Thursday, May 29th in Norken and Neunhausen.
Game flow:
To start, the guests from Metternich presented themselves - including a shot hitting the crossbar - as extremely dangerous, but our youth team freed themselves from the pressure and had bad luck themselves with a shot on the crossbar after 14 minutes by Philip von Sanden. The first half was balanced with strong set pieces on both sides.
💪 Second half:
Our team took the initiative and stamped their mark on the game. In the 50th minute, Paul Schwarz had a great chance, but the FCM keeper shone. In the 57th minute, Ioan Suru scored the much-celebrated 1-0 after preparation by Levi Figura. Metternich, busy almost exclusively with defensive work in the second half, had another chance in stoppage time, but our boys defended the narrow lead.
